We recently appointed Marshall F Pont & Associates, consultant engineers and surveyors, to assist us with the refurbishment of our kitchen and the construction of a utility room and conservatory.
Mr Marshall Pont provided architects drawings for the planned project and invited three building companies to tender. We duly selected a builder (who proved to be excellent) and Marshall Pont undertook the supervision of the entire project. He conducted regular on-site meetings with the builders and their team and was scrupulous in providing prompt and full minutes of each meeting so that all parties were aware of the work required and any potential mistakes were minimized.
The building dates from the 16th century and during the course of the project significant underpinning works were required. Marshall Pont, in his capacity as an experienced structural engineer, was able to provide the necessary expertise to ensure that all the work completed is structurally sound. Although the building is not officially listed, it is within a designated conservation area and subject to close scrutiny by the local council. Marshall Pont has excellent relations with the planning department of our local council and was able to liaise successfully with them on our behalf.
We are absolutely thrilled with the completed work; the extension to the house blends in completely with the existing 16th century architecture and is impossible to distinguish as a new addition.
We impressed with the level of expertise provided by Marshall F Pont and Associates and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to anyone requiring their services.
